NextGen RF Results.
NextGen RF was approached by a company requiring assistance developing a custom planar antenna for a NFC wearable reader using ISO15693 that communicates with an implantable helical shaped coil sensor using energy harvesting from the NFC field for blood glucose monitoring.
NextGen RF attained goals to reduce the form factor so the reader is wearable. The planar antenna design has a flat shape, ideal for a wearable. It creates a field that communicates with the implant, a helical tag coil to the depth of up to 15mm and have +/-10mm off axis reading capability.
